Israeli born dancer, Offer Zaks started his
dance studies as an apprentice in the Batsheva Dance Company in
Tel Aviv. Later he attended the Julliard School in New York where
he studied mainly with Hector Zaraspe and Anna Sokolov, and later
with David Howard.
He was a soloist dancer with the Ballet International
de Caracas, the Israel Classical Ballet, in Kucem,
Zurich and Bern, Switzerland, and with Arena
di Verona, Balleto di Venezia and the Rome Opera in Italy. He has
also been a featured guest artist in numerous galas in the United
States, China, Italy, Switzerland, France and Cuba.
Mr. Zaks outstanding dramatic interpretation
and musicality has been highly praised in his work with many world
renowned choreographers including John Butler, Jiri Kylian, Heinz
Sporeli, Vicente Nebrada, Alvin Ailey, Maria Eugenia Barrios, Jean
Guizarix, Norman Walker, Ricardo Duse, Birgit Culberg, Giuseppe
Carbone, Fleming Flindt, Mirahle Sharon, Nils Christe and Anna Sokolov.
In addition to his role as principal dancer
of Ballet Contemporaneo De Caracas Mr. Zaks serves as Executive
Director of the company.
