To the contrary notwithstanding. SPONSOR agrees to supply or cause to be supplied to IMAGO at SPONSOR's expense the following requirements. The following pages define Imago's Technical Requirements.

If you find a concern with any item on these Requirements call Jerry Ferris, Technical Director, at (503)231-3959.

TECHNICAL QUESTIONNAIRE AND INFORMATION
Prior to the Company's arrival, the senior stage technician at Sponsor's facility shall fill out Imago's Technical Questionnaire, or provide thorough specifications about the dimensions with floor plans, electric, lights/sound equipment of the facility.

PERFORMANCE FACILITY
This production is best viewed from the front, therefore a proscenium theatre (indoors) is necessary. If you have a thrust stage, a theatre in the round, an outdoor facility or no theatre please call the Imago office. The performance space must be completely clear of all set pieces, pianos, etc. prior to company's arrival.

STAGE DIMENSIONS
The performing area should have a minimum dimension of 30' wide by 25' deep with a height of not less than 15'. Wing space plus Off Stage space should be at least 12' on each side.

DRAPERIES
Stage must have a full set of stage masking (full stage drapes), including a minimum of two sets of black legs (10' wide) and a back curtain. The stage masking should provide a cross-over. If you have little or no masking or light color drapes call the Imago office. An upstage white drop or a light colored cyclorama behind the back curtain will be used when available.

0RCHESTRA PIT
If you have an orchestra pit that can be covered it is necessary to cover the pit for safety and performance reasons.. The pit covering should be level with stage floor. If the orchestra pit has a substantial drop from the stage level Imago Theatre will be requesting that the Sponsor build a platform to allow its creatures to safely get from stage level to audience area

STAGE FLOOR
A smooth, resilient, clean floor free of splinters, nails, tacks, etc. is necessary. If this is not possible, then a marley dance floor (preferably a grey color) should be laid and taped. Please keep in mind the performers are barefoot. The stage floor should be swept and damp mopped prior to the company's arrival and prior to all performances. Floor should be of one uniform color, preferably dark or black. Floor must be one even plane (no stairs, raked stages, platforms, etc.)

BLACKOUT
Performance facility must be able to achieve a total blackout. If you have windows they must be covered to eliminate the outdoor light.

AUDIENCE SEATING
Much of the Imago repertoire is performed low to the ground, therefore raked (raised) seating is optimal. In other words, every audience member must have full visibility of the stage floor (with no obstruction of the person in seats in front of him/her.)

SCHEDULE
An 8 to 10 hour set-up prior to curtain day of the show is optimal for concert show. For AM or early PM performances, set-up may take place the day before the show.

The actual set-up period(s) will be determined between the Imago Production Stage Manager and Sponsor's Stage Manager/Technical Director prior to the company's arrival. The stage should be available to the company for the entire set-up period and not be used by any other attraction, event, etc. until after the final performance and removal of all company property equipment. The set-up period will be used to set up set pieces, set drapes , focus lights, set light levels, set sound, as well as placement of all props and costumes. Prior to Company's arrival stage must be cleared and clean, lights must be hung and circuited, drapes hung, and marley floor (if used) laid and taped.

STAGE CREW
Sponsor shall provide a stage crew that will be adequate to execute the following jobs. The crew that is involved with the set up should be the same as the show crew.

1 light board operator
1 follow spot operator
1 sound engineer
2 running crew on deck
1 wardrobe/costume person

In addition to the above show duties the crew will load-in company equipment, execute lighting & sound, strike, load-out and aid company in preparing the theatre for performance. All the crew should be available during all periods outlined under schedule (see above) for set-up show(s) and strike.

EXTENDED RUNS
If Imago is performing a series of the same show(s) over a period of days (see schedule section for different shows) please allow for a minimum crew and stage call of four (4) hours before every curtain for each show after the opening. No other company or event shall occupy the theatre during the entire run of performances A complete sound and light check, and access to all props and costumes shall be available during the four hour call. All items in this technical rider shall apply to all performances of a run including meals.

LIGHTS
Sponsor agrees to hang Imago's light plot prior to the company's arrival. An up-to-date plot will be sent three weeks prior to the company's arrival. Lights must be hung and circuited prior to company's arrival. It would be helpful if all the basic front, down and side light is pre-focused and gelled prior to company's arrival. The number and type of instruments vary from house to house. The following is our generic amount of instruments and types needed.

A 48 channel light board with memory capability or better is needed.
Performance space must have adequate lighting positions for front, down and side light.
Eight 8' - 10' booms are needed.

We will need a true blackout. Exit lights and aisle lights may need to be gelled. If you have any spill of light, from daylight or otherwise, please secure the openings.

Please call Imago Office to discuss renting equipment if necessary.

SIGHTLINES
Imago Theatre's production of FROGZ uses the entire downstage area of the stage and the show partially takes place in the audience within the first two to six rows of seats.  It is the presenter's responsibility to insure that all seats which are sold have full visibility of the entire stage including all areas downstage of the plasterline including the apron, the downstage thrust, the orchestra pit area and the first two to six rows of the audience. Presenter must notify Imago Theatre in writing with the return of this contract if visibility for the areas mentioned is a problem.  Imago Theatre suggests that the presenter offer video monitors or reduced rate prices for those seats which have a visibility problem.  Call Jerry Ferris at Imago at 503.231.3959 to discuss this matter.

SOUND
Imago will be traveling with a sound operator who would like to mix sound from front of house. Please plan to have the theatre's sound board in the house in a position in which Imago's sound operator can effectively mix the sound. Imago will bring three mini disc players (stereo rca outputs) as source players. Also Imago will be bringing a wireless microphones (xlr output.) It would be best if the wireless transmitter for this wireless mic be set onstage and patched through theater's sound board. Also Imago will be bringing an fx processor that we will need
to be  patched into your sound board. For the three stereo lines from the mini disc players and the one wireless microphone, the theatre's sound board should have a minimum of 7 channels (if stereo mix can be consolidated to individual sliders or if the theatre is a mono system then the sound board can have a minimum of 4 channels). Imago requests monitors on the stage
for performers to hear the sound. The sound for the monitors should be operated from the sound board in the house. Imago's technical staff will consult with theatre's sound person for the details of all sound prior to company's arrival.  If sponsor's theatre does not have adequate sound (good to excellent in quality) or has difficulties in meeting these sound requirements please consult with Jerry Ferris at Imago 503.231.3959.
