Steve Love's New York Express Roller Dance Company was founded
in 1985 as a natural outgrowth of the contemporary dance and roller
skating explosion. Since its inception, Mr. Love has led three generations
of companies and hundreds of skaters to theatres and arenas throughout
the world. His work demonstrates a new approach to modern classical
movement with an extraordinarily unique medium...Wheels.
Within this distinctly American art form, the company combines
the athleticism of precision dance and acrobatics with mime and
theatre. Their personal choreographic style incorporates both the
rigor and discipline of traditional training and the exuberance
and edge of street style jazz.
Steve Love's New York Express Roller Dance Company has been featured
on the Today Show and MTV, as well as on television in Japan, Taiwan,
Hong Kong, Thailand, Italy and the UK. International tours include
the Migros "Steps Dance Festival in Switzerland, the "Aruba International
Dance Festival" and hundreds of Performing Arts Centers throughout
the United States. Special performances include programs for Elizabeth
Taylor at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City, as well as Corporations
