In “THE 1959 BROADWAY SONGBOOK” Jeff Harnar creates a one-man musical celebrating the 21 shows that were playing in New York in 1959.  Hits such as “Gypsy,” “The Sound of Music,” “West Side Story,” “The Music Man,” “My Fair Lady,” “Flower Drum Song,” “Fiorello” and “Bells Are Ringing” were all on The Great White Way in 1959.  The shows were alive with hit songs such as “Ev’rything’s Coming Up Roses,” “Tonight,” “On The Street Where You Live,” “Till There Was You,” and  “Climb E’vry Mountain,”  by such renown songwriters as , Rodgers & Hammerstein, Jule Styne, Comden & Green, Leonard Bernstein, Lerner & Loewe, Harold Arlen, Yip Harburg and Stephen Sondheim.  Jeff Harnar crafts over 40 songs into an unforgettable musical collage that had played to standing ovations around the world and on PBS.

Jeff Harnar salutes one of the most prolific songwriters of the last century, Sammy Cahn.  With 26 Academy Award Nominated songs, including 4 Oscars, an Emmy and Broadway scores, Sammy Cahn is perhaps best remembered as the lyricist who put more words into Frank Sinatra’s mouth than any other songwriter.   Jeff Harnar’s “SAMMY CAHN ALL THE WAY” is a musical scrapbook of Hollywood, Broadway, World War II and those swinging Rat Pack hits that have underscored American lives for decades.
