In “THE 1959 BROADWAY SONGBOOK” Jeff
Harnar creates a one-man musical celebrating the 21 shows that were playing in
New York in 1959. Hits such as “Gypsy,”
“The Sound of Music,” “West Side Story,” “The Music Man,” “My Fair Lady,”
“Flower Drum Song,” “Fiorello” and “Bells Are Ringing” were all on The Great
White Way in 1959. The shows were alive
with hit songs such as “Ev’rything’s Coming Up Roses,” “Tonight,” “On The
Street Where You Live,” “Till There Was You,” and “Climb E’vry Mountain,” by such renown songwriters as , Rodgers &
Hammerstein, Jule Styne, Comden & Green, Leonard Bernstein, Lerner &
