On behalf of all of us - Board, staff, and audiences - I write to express our deepest appreciation for your artistic excellence and personal graciousness during this smash hit run. This show delighted both audiences and critics with its warmth, intelligence, musicality, and emotional depth. In a fully realized theatrical production that looked wonderful on the Gisela & Dennis Alter Mainstage, you wove together seamlessly the moving love story of Irving Berlin and Ellin Mackay told through more than 45 songs, from the biggest hits to some new discoveries. With dramatic lighting and special scenic effects to heighten the impact of your show, you had the audience on the edge of their seats from beginning to end. Mark, your amazing ability to play the piano flawlessly from every possible position, never seeming even to look at the keyboard, left audiences incredulous. Beneath all of your dazzling virtuosity was a true breadth of theatricality, as you moved effortlessly from exuberance and laughter to quiet reflection and deep emotion. KT, with your sparkling soprano, your humor and your gentle irony, you offered a radiant counterpoint, with both intimate solo moments and light-hearted duets that made the show a gleaming partnership. As you know, we received many rave reviews, many compliments from our audiences, and many standing ovations. Your warmth in greeting the audience after the show with your glorious cast album has truly made you Philadelphia favorites, and we look forward greatly to your next visit to the Prince. From all of us, warmest thanks and best regards, Marjorie Samoff Producing Director
